Monhegan boats take on the fabled Newport to Bermuda Race
On June 19th boats will leave Newport sailing south to Bermuda in the bi-annual Newport to Bermuda race. This year the fleet has a number of PYC and Monhegan connected boats participating. Make sure to follow the action at Bermudarace.com
In the Finisterre division will be Soren Schroeder’s Elixir with Howard Coon onboard. In the St. David’s Lighthouse division, PYC’s Todd Lalumiere will be sailing Isobel with his family & crew, including Richard Hallett. John Wilkinson’s J 122 Wild Blue will be out on the course competing against past Monhegan winner Zig Zag, also a J122.
To top it off there is even a J44 named Monhegan!
