Almost every local weeknight racing series has a cruising division filled with sailors looking for an excuse to get out on the water and away from life’s demands. The idea of racing might seem daunting, but with a few tweaks to your boat, a bit of reading up on the rules and enlisting family and friends for crew, you’ll be rounding marks in no time.

As the Monhegan fast approaches we are reminded to keep our eyes open for "Spouts.' See a Spout - Watch Out!, helps recreational boaters operate safely and responsibly around whales. This program is sponsored and implemented by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation, NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office, and Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

There have been a lot of changes to the Monhegan Island Race over the last few years. All the changes have given the race a better experience for the teams, and we have received tremendous agreement.

The Monhegan Island Race is a historic event, celebrating its 94th running in August 2022. Have you ever wanted to race the Monhegan? Not sure what it is all about? Join Us!

Join us on February 16th from 6 to 8 pm for all things Monhegan. Whether you have raced in, volunteered for, or just like a good time, all are welcome!
